That's a step in the right direction! I might be testing props with Unforgiven this weekend; you wanna go?Its at 39% as of now Google .....lake Nacimiento water level.... its current as of the date...
Is it higher than it was in August last year?I was out on the lake yesterday and it has come up but nothing to get excited over. In Las tables where it was pretty shallow at the end of last summer is about 15' deep right now. I mean there is plenty of water to play just a couple points that stick out a little in the main channel to watch out for. It was nice to be back out on the water though let me tell you. Im probaly going to be out saturday its supposed to be in the 80s.devil
Maybe a little higher but not much. By the end of summer that lake is going to be looking pretty low. Im not 100% but I'm almost positive I'll be out saturday. So I'll keep an eye out for ya.Is it higher than it was in August last year?
If i make it out there on Sat. we'll meet up with you.
Hey, thanks for the info and the offer on the pontoon! 34% is good but it needs to get up higher! I miss the way it was two years ago at 90% or whatever it was. If it doesn't get more rain up there it's going to be nearly non-existant by the end of the summer. I've been told by friends that have owned in Oak Shores that they remember (pos. in the 80s) when it virtually dried up! No boating, just riding motorcycles and atv's in the lake bed!Sorry so late on this Tank, I believe it was at 34% last week when I went up, if I remember correctly, we were up there that same weekend, and it was at 27%? It may come up a little more, but I wouldn't count on a whole lot more water this year. It's gonna be good for memorial day, and maybe the 4th, but I'm not sure anytime after that is going to be good for your boat. Keep in mind that my pontoon can go anywhere, so if you ever just want to come up, let me know, and you can hang with us on the pontoon.
Haven't been able to get a hold of him, so not sure if I will be going or not. The whole point was to test props, but I need to get them from him first. I'll give you a call tonight.Mead call me I'm in for shizzzle... I'm not on call for oncedevilIs eddie bringing his boat as well??
Oh yea? Us too. Baby boy is 7 weeks. If the water doesn't raise a bit I dont think I'll be putting the cig in there. Little scetchy in Sept. when we were there. Hit 5' water depth around the corner to the big opening in las tablas. I've never personally been there when the water was that low. I was nervous all day about my props. Funny thing is (well not exactly funny) after running all weekend and not hitting anything I come into drop my wife off at the heritage dock and as I'm turning I tangle my port prop around that big azz wire that holds the dock in place!! Wrapped it around one time but enough that I then had to jump in the water with a prop wrench, pop the prop off and put it back on all while trying not to loose the prope wrench, nut, washer, prope or drown!!Tank-
I will be expecting a call any time you guys head north this summer! Since the bulk of my summer will be spent changing diapers, I need any excuse to get away.....![]()
Wow that sucks! I only worried about my wife hitting that line when she was backing the boat out from the dock....you are quite the skipperOh yea? Us too. Baby boy is 7 weeks. Congrats on the baby, our first son will be here on or before May 10.
Do you guys live on the water down there in Oxnard/Port Hueneme harbor? I love that neighborhood where everyone's back porch is a dockHa! I was spinning the boat around to drop her off at the dock from the swim step....She says, "watch the cable"...I say, "I see it..." SNAP!...."Sh!t...."
Congrats to you too. It's a lot of work but all worth it.![]()
We're on the beach at Hollywood Beach not in the harbor. The new harbor houses are sweet. The whole new harbor back there they built is outstanding! Love cruising the boat back there for lunch.Do you guys live on the water down there in Oxnard/Port Hueneme harbor? I love that neighborhood where everyone's back porch is a dock
The wife and I looked at those places in the harbor when we still lived in Ventura but the prices were too high at the time. I would still love a place on the water, but we love living in the wine country now. If you guys ever want to do a wine-tasting trip, let me know and we can escort you around the valley. We're on the beach at Hollywood Beach not in the harbor. The new harbor houses are sweet. Yea, the new ones are still lower to mid millions....Dans (H20Tioe from on here) house in the harbor is pretty bad azz! (see picture). I've talked about moving to the harbor with my wife (keep the boat on a hoist in front of the house would be NIIIIICE! But I think we agree we're too happy on the beach. That is siiick! We're gonna make the trip down to the harbor one of these days, just don't know when. We'll see how the baby does in the boat when he gets here....only hold up there is I won't want to go very fast with him in the boat and Santa Barbara harbor to Ventura harbor at 30mph is gonna take a while. Thanks for the invite....Soon as the baby is a bit older, might take you up on it. And you're always welcome to come on down and cruise the harbor and run the Cig with us out here.
