How much power can I possible derieve out of this beast?
Where do these run most efficiently? ie how much overdrive or underdrive
Am I wasting my time with this? just looking for a couple hundred hP
I have an 8-71 BDS minus carbs intake and idler pulley just not complete and short another $2500 towards that blower to get it going
Don't know much about mini blowers please chime in with advice

Boost single digits on a big block. Any boost is better than no boost.

Perfect little small-block blower. I have been tossing around the idea of throwing one on my '69 efi PU.

blowers just add extra weight. luckily its a lightweight! grn

We ran one of these (Weiand) on my first Bahner Jet and then a 256 on my Eliminator with good sucess Good Luck !

When B&M first introduced the 177 we put the first one's on for the owners of B&M they worked OK but shortly thereafter the introduced the 250 which is a much better way to go . The problem was it is a flat rotar design and has to be spun up real high to make adaquate boost on a big block. The harder you try to turn it the more heat is generated. 4 to 5 boost is about all your going to get.

Not enough blower to give you 200hp gain, good blower for a daily driver street car with a small block.

Keith nice deal you put together! how does that oil filter hold up? How much boost have you seen from that setup?

Its the racing version of the fram filter, never had a problem. 24-26lbs of boost

I had one on a 468 in a bahner jet and gained 900 to 1000 rpm at 6 to 7 lbs boost., loved it.
