How much power can I possible derieve out of this beast?
Where do these run most efficiently? ie how much overdrive or underdrive
Am I wasting my time with this? just looking for a couple hundred hP
I have an 8-71 BDS minus carbs intake and idler pulley just not complete and short another $2500 towards that blower to get it going
Don't know much about mini blowers please chime in with advice

Boost single digits on a big block. Any boost is better than no boost.

Perfect little small-block blower. I have been tossing around the idea of throwing one on my '69 efi PU.

When B&M first introduced the 177 we put the first one's on for the owners of B&M they worked OK but shortly thereafter the introduced the 250 which is a much better way to go . The problem was it is a flat rotar design and has to be spun up real high to make adaquate boost on a big block. The harder you try to turn it the more heat is generated. 4 to 5 boost is about all your going to get.

Not enough blower to give you 200hp gain, good blower for a daily driver street car with a small block.

I had one on a 468 in a bahner jet and gained 900 to 1000 rpm at 6 to 7 lbs boost., loved it.
