With the water level ridiculously low at Lake Mead, is it even really worth it to plan a boating weekend there? Was thinking about planning a trip to Vegas for a show and then hitting the lake one or two afternoons in May.

Main concerns would be launching and worry about random shallow spots out and about on the lake

Do any of the marinas have short term boat storage? I'd prefer to drop/leave the boat there and shuttle back and forth from Vegas. It would only be like 3-4 days total.

Thoughts?

Even with the low levels, lake Mead is still huge ! I say go ! Check out Heminway Harbor for current launch conditions.

Our lake me be low but how many of your California lakes would you like to put inside of it? The launch ramp at Boulder Harbor is the best ramp I have seen on this lake since moving here in 1982. All the locals believe the news that the lake is low and unusable but it is very untrue. The lake is great right now tons of new sand beaches and not a lot of people using it.
