I frequent Lake Mohave, and was considering heading to Lake Mead to try it out. I've read a lot about the water levels and launch ramp extensions. Being that I'm unfamiliar with Lake Mead, what advise would you give me? Is Lake Mead so low that I should avoid it all together? Thanks

We have a place at Callville Bay Marina, you won't have a problem launching there. The lake can be tricky when the winds kick up so beware. What size boat? And does it have trim tabs? The water levels are down while the feds back fill Powell, until the feds have met their water commitments than lake Mead will continue to drop or we have a huge melt-off from the western Rockies.

I launch at Hemenway and have to back my truck in so the front wheels are about ten feet into the water and I have a 6" lift but I'm launching a 30' boat. Other than that, it's fine. Not much to see on the lake though, lot's of rocks and sand!
