Does anyone know of a small anchor I can put in my boat that won't bang it all up? Maybe a bag? I have a open stringer boat and need a Small anchor for the sand bar.

Small box, or the Dana Jaws anchor folds up nice and tight and locks into position. They also have a nice carry/stow bag for it.

If you hadn't said "for the sandbar", then the smaller modified Danforth/mushroom shown could work. But when you go to the sandbar, you are going to encounter 3-5 knot currents, and with the bottom there, it won't hold. You will be unhappy with your choice and think about how you wasted your money. BTDT years ago.

I do have two of those, they sit in the garage.

YMMV

Thanks for all of the input. I have a small box anchor that I like. I just wanted somthing small to keep in the boat if I had my anchor set at camp.
