I could be mistaken because I don't remember the guys name (although Christian sounds right). But I'm from norcal and I think that was the boat that gave me the itch to get into this stuff. I have always been into cars, and then this boat shows up at my buddies house for a motor installation. It was originally set up for a big block chevy, and the owner wanted to install a 390 FE ford motor he had, so my buddy did the swap. Long story short I got to take a few rides in it out on the river at Lodi lake for testing and such (this was back in 2010). We had no idea what the hell we were doing with cavitation plates, or trying to peddle the boat off the line, and we were in a very small area, but we had a great time. He heard from the owner about a year ago because he wanted a few more things done, so I would assume he still owns it.
I don't were its at, but I'm pretty sure thats my dad and uncles old boat! Boat name was Bad News, 77 Hallet Barron Sprint! We bought it brand new ran it with a small block on N2o in the 9.0 class usually @ 109! I could be wrong, but if this is our boat & it's for sale contact me here or my dad at Desert Yacht Performance Marine in Yuma, Vic, we'd be interested in buying it back! My brother & I learned how to ski behind this boat!
