So the wife and some friends went to Mcintyre over the last weekend and loved it beyond words. It made us realize we are done with Havasu and parker....... so i was wondering what some of the other parks are like. Mac is the shit for sure but I'm not sure i want to commit to the payment in the winter since you cant pull your trailer off and dry store it. I've been to mayflower as a kid and liked it but don't know how summer camping works there and if those sixth st. guys will let anyone in their gang. Send pms if you want on prices so not everyone and their brother moves their trailers down there. I know the water snakes are super bad on this stretch of river so parker and havasu people should stay far away.

Fishers Landing in Yuma has a dry camp area that is pretty dang reasonable... summer or winter. Which I dig as I go all year round and don't mind running my generator... plus its a short crawl from the launch ramp and bar... so that's a plus. The regular trailer spots at Fishers and Martinez are pretty dang good... and you can put your trailer in the storage yard during the winter if you so desire.

Kinda... Todd is a baller and is over at Martinez where all the high rollers hang... ;) I'm fairly middle low class... so I hang over at Fisher's... about a couple hundred yards away.:D

It's really bitchen... no rocks, only sand... and the folks are cool. As for the drive... eh, depending from where you start, it may be a bit of a distance, but I guess it all really depends on how often you go. A few times during the summer... then a little extra drive isn't all that bad. Every couple of weekends, then yeah, it can kinda suck.

Been makin the drive for a bit of a while now, as you pass over Blythe and see the water, you get a little "Lifted"! the extra hour (On the nose!) really isnt bad at all, but then again I guess there could be worse to complain about! thats where the "Roadhead" comes into play.....the last hr is always eventful!;)

There's a nice County Park just south of Palo Verde which is a few miles South of Mac on the water.. Dry camp, pretty nice!!!

You think the water snakes are bad?!?!?! How about all the ass hole cops, really shallow water and tree stumps? Definatly better to go to Havasu and Parker. I wouldnt even waist my time with the lower river. Probably end up busting a prop or worse.;)

Ya, I heard the gators and snakes can't swim south of the 10 so everything from Rivera to Yuma is wide open. Just don't go north of the 10...... tooo scary up there.
