All along my bow the gelcoat is completely oxidized. It won't hold a shine for more than a week after it has been polished. I was just out wiping it down and the metal flake was coming off on the rag. What kind of options do I have? Or do i have any short of re-gelling the boat? It's just the bow, from the dash line back it will hold a shine after I cut and polished it for a while.

I am sure you will get some great advise on this from some professionals but ill throw my two cents in anyways :) Scuff that down with a pad make sure its good and clean as well and clear it, seen this done several times and looks great. Was told that many of the flake jobs never had clear put in them out of the molds. We are doing the same thing with a 69' Sanger.
