Booked a block of rooms at the Econo Lodge Midland, (989) 631-0570, under Michigan Hot Boats for Saturday March 12th. Give them the name and your CC for a reservation. Comes out to $64.92 for the night.

They have a bar on site (McNamaras) we can take over and do our calendar as well as pool and other amenities for families.

See your bench racin' asses there!:))THumbsUp

Econo lodge called me last night and said no one made reservations. Is no one staying the night? :hmmm:

I live 20 miles away and my arthritis and every other ache and pain doesn't like alcohol anymore so I'll be driving. Let's just not put Oscoda on River Roar weekend like it has been for ever. :spanks:

Fairly quiet, only 6 souls and 1 of them showed up, checked-in but never made it to the bar. (Hope you're okay Mike!)

Conversation was great and the locals were super interested in what we were about. Had the place to ourselves and Kim the bartender poured heavy. Killed two bottles of Captain if I counted correctly.

The schedule came together fairly quickly based on last year's feedback and some members' suggestions who were present. It's sad more people don't attend, it's really a great group of people.

To cull any rumors I am boatless this year, but will be on the lookout for any deals. Looking to get a 25ft West Coast style boat next year. In the meantime, Mark Sullivan offered to chauffeur me at any of the meets we attend, really appreciate that. That's the kind of good-heartedness that exists in this club. And I use that loosely for all the lawyers.

Looking forward to a great summer. The FB group is up to 298 members so I'm expecting a good show at alot of the meets. Don't let me down.

If one of the downriver guys (or gals) could PM me to talk about a possible meet, that'd be awesome. We'd love to invade your territory haha.

Thanks,

Dave
