I have a cat with blown 540 twin carbs, motor dies going over rough water. it starts right back up. I have checked float levels, seem to be good, fuel pressure good. no loose ignition wires. what should I check now ? It only dies when going over rough water or big wake.

Ignition box?....I've had ignition switch ghosts and MSD box issues do the same thing. When I have a problem like this that's hard to find my approach is to run a secondary lead or bypass till I pin it down.
Good luck
what rpms do you think your at when this happens? As your bouncing over the water is the boat bogging down then dieing at lower rpms or just shutting off like you turn key off? When going over the rough water or going over big wakes are you chopping throttle to settle and slow boat down and then it dies?
