how much time on the engine? how large are the lines to your puke tank. as always lets see a pic of how lines are run, on my large bore engines without running the pan evacs or pcv evac i will see this type of (steam?oil puke) what i have found is you need large lines to your evac's or puke tank there is a lot of air moving around the oil pan.:)

Before you start looking into the motor...check to see if there is a level in the puke tank and also clean the breather w/ carb cleaner. Any oil residue on the breather will cause this. I have came across this before and I had a dirty breather w/ a high level in the tank. Just my 2 cents.

x2! if the puke tank hasn't been emptied like it should , that'll happen during the surge at idle on a blower motor.

well did a compretion check all but 1 cylinder were good, all were 119 but # 1 it was at 90 what do you think
could make a few guesses but need more info . did you do anything that could of hurt it ? lean it , bad gas , float the valves etc. the compression test does show it's wounded , but like Fiat told ya in the other thread check the lash and a leakdown might help point to the problem before you pull the head .

When we have ring issues on the old jags we will see anywhere from 35-80 psi increase. A 3 psi increase on a 90psi cylinder is only 2-3% which is well within a normal blowby spec.

The question I have is when you did the leak down on the engine. What were the leakdown percentages of each cylinder? You did do all the cylinders and each was at tdc comression when you did each one right?
