Im not a fan if financing if i don thave the cash i dont need it... But,

How bout personal loan from bank?? take that check to the engine builder and pay it off to the bank instead of the builder??? Im sure you could use that cash for a used motor as well, but if your gonna finance might as well get what you really want within reason lol...

If i got what i wanted well id be in the HOLE!!!

If you can afford payments, you can afford to wait an extra year and piece one together with cash............ the only way to go............ when you get close, then get out the credit card and sprint the last 50 yards............ otherwise........... see boatless on this forum !! I'm looking for a 500 to 600 motor. I don't know how much a good used one would cost? I don't want to send a fortune though. Maybe $5000 this year for something complete. I will probably get a loan.
