I'm a longtime pool player and have heard horror stories from guys who tried to save money with DIY. Let the pros do it you'll be glad you did.
sounds good thanks
Check out on Craigs List, there are tons of guys that do this for cash, should cost around $50 - DO NOT TRY IT YOURSELF!!!
If you want to shift the pool table into another room, then call a pool table professional to shift it. don't do yourself it may damage the pool table. I know one site where you can get this kind of professionals check this http://arizonpooltable.wordpress.com/
I've helped a friend move his acouple of times. We took it apart, moved it, put it back together and leveled it. It wasn't no big deal. Of course the pool table top was heavy, needed two of us to manuver it around.

I was thinking the same thing, I helped my cousin move his a couple times and then a friend of mine needed one moved from his old house to his new house DOWN STAIRS:mad: Not a big deal at all. But hay..................they make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ everyday so spend it.:)

This all depends on the type of pool table. As a carpet installer I have been stuck moving many over the years. Some tables weigh well over 1000lbs and some weigh under 500. If this is an expensive table with heavy slates I would have someone move it. For the money it's not worth the effort if you or one of you friends or the table gets hurt.
Look into the cost of new slabs..... and the cost of having a PRO move it... who will cover that replacement cost should he drop it...and you can decide:D

If he drops any of them and cracks, tell him he is no longer a PRO :)sphss
Call Jose 909 636-1318 he will hook you up.
Thanks for the hook up Jose will be comming over after work.
for $50 pay someone, but moving a pool table is not rocket science if it's $250
My wife is great a moving furniture around our house. I am not sure where the couch is from the day to day.
If it's a 3 piece slate, then it has to be re-plumbed.
A pool table mover should have that all dialed in and sweetening the slates is part of the dealio.

Two labors I never do:
1. Move pool tables
2. Roofing.
Call Jose 909 636-1318 he will hook you up.
He came over and did an awesome job it was a 3 piece slate took it apart reassembled it wax the joints, restreched the felt and releveled it. Back to perfect would recommend him to anybody good job.
