That cam grind is important to the MPI so be careful, you can't just play with that like its a carburated eng., That eng. has a Map sensor, knock sensor, VST fuel system etc. Timing can't be played with like a carbed eng. as well.
Use the Magnum 454/502 cam .510"/220 @.050" on 115 centers. Install it advanced 3 to 5 degrees. Upgrade your springs to Comp Cams #924's, and set them up with AT LEAST 110 lbs on the seat. If you are taking the heads* off to do a valve job, just replace the small valves with the larger one's and really realize the difference. ONLY if you have the "larger oval port heads" and not the "peanut port heads"!!!!
