Kinda neat making 657Hp and 672 tq out of an oval iron headed 496. 10/1 comp, Hydraulic roller, [email protected]. Dynoed at Owens racing Engines in Houston TX on a 902. Thats a lot of power on a street engine!
Fully ported, but not huge.Thats awesome! Good job!. How much port work was done on the heads?
Try putting a 2.300 intake in it and see what happens. The air velocity picks up substantiallyFully ported, but not huge.
Mark Jones puts alot of port work/time into those heads....always impressed by his ratings. He is Picasso with a set of 781 or 049'sFully ported, but not huge.
Correction the motor is a 10 to 1 on the compression.Kinda neat making 657Hp and 672 tq out of an oval iron headed 496. 10.5 comp, Hydraulic roller, [email protected]. Dynoed at Owens racing Engines in Houston TX on a 902. Thats a lot of power on a street engine!

Mark is so busy he only has time to port heads for his motors. He Does do valve jobs on ocasion. My 454 made 557 with 049s with Marks valve job and my port work without the best tune. My poor tuning, not Marks. I'm trying to sell the motor.I've got a couple of sets of these heads, what does he charge to do a set?
