F14 and I took our 10' Addictor with our new to us 40hp up the Napa River yesterday. We towed it with my "mighty" S10 four banger. I believe our combined HP for both is roughly 162ish but who's counting. We had a blast but next time we are going to be a little more courageous and maybe launch in Vallejo and see the entire river. Maybe, just maybe, someday Brian & I will have REAL boats running but at least we got out on the water. It was low tide when we were going up river but at long as you pay attention to channel markers and really just stay in the middle it's perfectly fine. You absolutely would have to pay real attention to the channel markers at high tide because it could end very badly.

We stopped for lunch downtown and their docks are very nice and plenty deep at low tide. We went a little further upstream after lunch but it's now marked up that way so we turned around. We didn't get on the water til after 1pm so we didn't venture too far downriver later in the day plus around the next bend there were some pretty decent white caps and neither of us felt like flying the Addictor yesterday.

Wow, you went all the way to downtown! Where exactly were the waterfront homes with docks? Finally, I can see you squeeze into a mini boat but how the hell did you shoehorn yourself into an S10?
I really enjoy not having vehicle or boat payments to worry about. Are you gonna buy another boat or just live out your pretty boy days "in the city" ??

It always seemed like Rachel enjoyed boating. Maybe she will allow him to buy another boat but we all know how women change once you put a ring on that finger.

I thought you knew me, you guys have me all wrong. I prefer an independent coffee shop that plays the Descendants in the background while I'm wearing jorts and a Mercury Racing shirt.

With a wedding looming ahead in a couple of months, I can't afford to make the payments on the Addictor let alone look at another boat. With that said, if I am boatless summer of 2016, kick me in the junk.

You & your lovely bride to be would have a blast cruising the Addictor!! It's slow but fun. Ask Rick about "blasting" across 2'+ waves on Franks tract
