called up my local stealer in Van Nuys,
$98 to program a key for my Ford Edge. I asked a couple questions, but the guy on the phone was a real duesh.

I know I could do it if I have 2 keys, but I don't.

I have the new key, just need it to be programmed, and maybe a tranny service while I am at it.

Thank you in advance.

YOur screwed, thats the going rate... For those of you that don't know the dealio, go to your FOrd dealer and buy an extra key, have it cut and programmed (for 15-20) WHILE you still have two OR it will cost you 90-100 if you want an extra made later...

IF you have two keys there is a simple key on/key off sequence that you can go through to program your own...

I tried to explain to the deuch on the phone that I have a cut blank. I just need the 10 min of programming since I only have 1 working key. Some dealers do this for free. Considering I have spent a substantial amount of money at this dealership, I would expect a nominal fee or maybe, just maybe a freebee.
