I have a Volvo Penta,260hp, with a 290 drive! A buddy of mine just bought this boat, my Questions are the boat seems to idle rough, rebuilt the carb { quadrajet } That all seems ok, Idles around 750 to 800! But then when you drop it in gear it falls on it's face and die's!!!!!!! anyone have any ideas???? Heading out camping laborday, and need this boat to run well!!! HELP! Thanks, Tye

Sounds like a vacuum leak,, be sure all vacuum ports are covered.

See if it has a shift interrupt deal on the shift bracket. If so, they get out of adjustment.

Thanks Guy's, for the reply's,but there are No vac,leaks, and no detent on the motor! Just wondering if there might be a detent switch in the control box! going to check it out today! Any other IDEAS???? Thanks in advance! Any one know what the air fuel mixture screws are to be set at on a quadrajet,???

Cool. Usually we start out all the way in then out 1.5 turns then fine tune from their. Enjoy
