its amazing how the people you call "friends" can be some time. so im in need of a little help to get my boat running right.. 3 days after asking my friend to help they finaly get back to me. not to say hey bro ill comeover and help you out cause they know my truck is broke down and i cant bring it to them but they tell me to "rebuild my carbs" with out knowing what the problem is or even trying to here the boat run. thats like some one saying "hey doc my arm hurts when i do this" doc says "well dont do that" . its pretty bad when someone you dont even know is willing to help you out and invite you to there house to work on the boat( thanks matt) just goes to show good friends are hard to find... sorry for rambling hope this made some sense.

Dude no worries, life has lots of those folks. My wife and i have (as she says ''deleted" more friends over the years. We have no time for BS. It's all about me and her for the most part. Those we keep are good folks, but they are few anymore. If you move they will come- and the cycle just starts over in a different place. Hang in there and give me a shout if ya need some help, I'll do my best to help. I thought you was enjoying the boat all this time?

We weren't but a bend or two from Knights Landing. It's about 31 miles from Sacramento to Knights Landing and must be 2 or three times that far by river. WOW!! What a trip.

A true freind will have no problem saying something like "I just don't have any extra time right now" or "I have too much on my plate" yada yada yada...

There have been times that I was asked to help some one out and I just tell them that I'm not sure when, but I'll try my best...A little non comittal, but sometimes it's the best one can do...

I always hate it when I go out of my way to help someone out and I need something later and it just doesn't happen...:|err

Way to say it GT. If I don't have the time or can't commit, I play the same game and say I'll help when I can. But, once I'm on the river with folks, I do try to make sure everyone is still pretty much out of trouble and help where I can.. Like a 20 mile tow.

you know what really bugs me about this person is that . be for i had my cheetah i had a hallet. i started to rebuild. he talked me into replacing the wood behind the dash , it had some rot init i thought it was a good idea. i ripped out the wood when it came time to put it back together i asked him how much $$$ he wanted to do it for. he wanted his tatto worked on and im friends with a tattoo artist so i took him there, spent around 150$ on his tattoo(she gave me a deal should have been about 100$ more) when i got my boat back from paint and it was time to do the work it was like pulling teeth to get him to work on it. it took so long that between the bad paint job and him flaking on me that i just got fed up and sold the boat!! and bought what i have now. so now he has a free tattoo on his arm and has made no atempt to say "hey dude what can i do ". i just think if someone gives you money for a job and that job falls throu you should at least give it back or OFFER to do something else .. who getts paid for doing nothing???

You text me and asked me to come over and help, and i said let me see whats going on cause its my sons birthday next week and jeffs wedding also, oh ya my wife has a bridal shower at our house so i have no time to go way the ***k out to your house and get my own shit ready. I have helped you alot. You are always in a hurry. At one point you wanted to build the whole boat in less then a week. What your not man enough to call me and tell me your mad. I have to find out from other people. Ask anyone that goes out to cfw. I always bring enough tools for anyone to use and i always help everyone out. So i dont now why you have something up your ***kin ass. In the last 2 weeks you have asked to borrow stuff and i leave it out and you never show up, and my stuff sits outside all night, wtf. You cant even call and say your not coming to get it so i can bring it in. The guy that came over and helped said he lives by you, well thats good cause i dont. Come and pick up you ***kin $40 i owe you on tuesday and bring my aluminum pieces. Have you ever thought the way you think about things and the way you treat your friends sometimes is maybee why alan is so pissed at you. I can see why now. the wood on your dash was ***kin rottin and you could push down on the dash. you said you wanted to replace it. i did replace the wood and you took the boat home and were going to bring it back so we could cut the holes in it for your guages, but you took it back to your speedy painter and let him ***k the boat up more and when you got it back i called you to see when you had time to bring it over to finish it and i found out you sold it. hows that my problem. how long have we been friends? and you cant ***kin call?
