I really need some set-up help with this one as it's going to be a real challenge- I'm also thinking it would be an excellent hull to challenge the World Jet Boat Jumping record.....it has a real nice flat bottom on it.

Holly crap that thing is rad. I cannot imagine someone sitting around thinking about building that hull. Does anyone else think that tweak may have been involved in the building of this hull?

Hell, I like it. Paint it flat black, or some other flat metallic rat-rod color, tape off some stripes, put an engine in it and don't worry if the headers are rusty, get some seats and cover them with some Mexican colored blankets for the interior. That thing could be sweet. Don't forget the eight ball for the shifter.

I was thinking more along the lines of concealing 6 rocket boosters behind the tail lights
Cas, you and Malcolm Pope must be cut from the same cloth. He tried rocket power in 1929 with his Mullins wood and steel hull that weighed 150 lbs. He was trying for 100 mph with his 32 10-pound rockets, activated in seperate stages by switches in the cockpit and fired by a storage battery. The boat instantly hit 60 mph but the rudder caught fire and burned sending the boat out of control until all the rockets had finally burned out. His second attempt at the record, again with a rocket powered boat, failed when Pope nearly had his head cut off by the tow rope from one of the escort boats.

I think you're just the guy to try it. ;)

Cas...

Dude, where do you find this stuff?

Really this needs a VW air cooled engine on a platform with a plane propeller in a cage.

When This Boat Gets Finished You Are Going To Have The Ladies Lined Up All The Way To The Pay Gate. They May Be A Tad Older, And Waiting For There Ride Down " Memory Lane ".

I just started following some links the other day and came across these things :D

not a bad idea with the air cooled engine......along with the rockets, it ought to scoot along pretty good :D

Only if we use a steel rudder.
shall we try the Colorado River like they did with that Buehler? :D

Steve, I'll sponsor you as long as it has a keg refrigerator . I can see you driving that beauty....Love it...Jim :D:D
You got it Jim! I'm thinking a motorhome type fridge would fit right in along with a BBQ. Probably install a nice 1500w stereo system so we can play Dueling Banjos too :)devil :)sphss
