Another question. How or is it possible to find out the history or the manufacturer of my "Rogers" boat. The boat has NO tags anywhere on it except for the "New" fuel tanks that were installed in 1983. I am finding out that everything the previous owner told is not true. I am very pleased with my boat but I sure would like to know more about it. Any tips would be helpful, Thanks.:(

Hull vin number

Look on the right rear corner of the boat. There should be what looks like a tag on the back of the transom. If its a rogers, the first three letters of the vin# will be RCB. And if your wondering, I believe its the last 2 numbers that represent the year the hull was laid up. And if it is a Rogers hull, its one of the best out there. Theres alot of guys on here that will attest to that, including myself.

What they said. You will get a better response to questions by using the title better like a general idea what the question is and more will read it vs new to boating I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VII etc.

Did you just buy that boat in your avatar? The double step deck 21? Roger built a handfull of those boats in the 70's. I've only seen 3 of them in person and I think the one you bought was on craigslist for a while, that was a good deal.

We did another 21 with the same bottom (spectra bottom) in the 80's but it had a very low deck on it. We bought that mold already done, cleaned it up, blocked it out and it turned out to be a great boat. Your boat and the later one, unlike all of his other models, Roger did not design.

I'm sure you know he just passed away on the 10th so you just missed getting the story from him.

I did just get the boat from C/L about 2 months ago and I really did get a GREAT deal on it. It did have bad head gaskets and the cooling plumbing was all jack up. But I am fixing it now and will have it running again this weekend. I did not know anything about "Rogers" boats and I really want to learn as much as I can. I do know the my boat freinds told me after I bought it I got a SWEET boat and an unbelievable deal on it. I want to clean it up and then enjoy it as much as I can with the family. Thank you for your kind words any any other info you might have would be great, T/Y

Rather than bore the other members to tears again by repeating myself about Roger, if you do a search in the jet section here, you might find some info on him posted by me and others that knew him. :)
