I also heard an argument that went something like, It won't really matter. The argument goes, the concussion is caused by the brain slamming into the skull, not the skull hitting something hard. Kind of like what killed Dale Earnhardt. You need to slow down the impact, not put more padding around the skull. This is just something I heard.
