I was looking at the NJBA rules for tech and I have a question about flywheel covers. In the rules it says "all boats must have a 360-deg flyweel cover made of productoin aluminum or the equivalant material". What is production aluminum or the equivalant material ? Are those thin stamped looking covers ok or are we talking about something like a scater shield ? Also does this mean the motor plate needs to come all the way to the bottom to fully enclose the flywheel ?
Im building my project with the hopes of being out there someday (in a slow class) and want to do it right the first time.
Thanks for any help
