Wow that's real offshore racin'. Did ya catch that 3" chop.

Cool vid, but I wish offshore racing would return to offshore. Racing 40ft boats in a bay is just lame.

Looks like those battle ships don't turn as well as these center pod tunnels..heck the battleships are even racing in smoother water..:)

You're not REALLY calling F1 boats "center pod tunnels" ar you??? These boats define the term "true tunnels" and are not in any way considered to have a center pod. I just got back from Revolution where they are building my new F1 boat - no center pod. The center area of the tunnel that drops down a mere 1 1/2" is not a running surface other when the boat is set in the turns, and even then, it plays a small role in the effectiveness of the hull. It is there largely to strengthen the tunnel, as these boats pull over 4 Gs in the turns and they used to break right down the middle of the tunnel due largely in part to there being no strength in the wide, flat surface between the sponsons. My Mirage on the other hand, is a center pod tunnel, and does turn very well, but nothing like a true tunnel. The Mirage will set and turn a single pin turn at just under 90 mph, whereas the F1 boats set and turn a single pin turn at 130+! :)
