That make more than $250K per year? Did this asswipe actually say that? Did he say "most" businesses are smaller than $250K per year? Therefore the tax increase won't affect "most" businesses? wtf

How can you employ people if your business earns $250K per year or less? I guess it's possible if you have 6 workers who earn $30K per year or less and you, as the business owner, don't eat dinner.

Tax me the hell outta here.

What an out of touch moron. :|err

So tax the hell out of the 5% who employ the 95%?

They'll lower your wages to pay for the tax. ok by you?
Why? So the business owners can own a 200k boat, 3 houses, a RV & go on lavish vacations, meanwhile thier "employee" that allows them to live that lifestyle lives paycheck to paycheck? Sounds fair to me.......:(:(

Thats funny. ...the employee "allows" the employer to live that lifestyle.

But in a nut shell, yes. Thats exactly why you start a business.

If your employer isn't paying you what you're worth (or what you think you're worth) leave.

You crack me up.

Not everybody has the means to be able to start a business. But screw them huh? Whatever is best for you right?? That's the thinking that got American in the dilema it's in now.

I'm glad I amuse you :)hand

BTW you can bash the democrats & liberals as much as you want. I don't believe either party will do what's best for the majority of America, nor do I belong to either one.

THe impact of these tax increases will reduce the number of employees at each business. Its simple. The tax increase will result in a push - at best. . The increase in business tax will be offset by lower tax income on individuals. Unemployment will increase......Demand for goods and services will decrease and result in a shrinking economy and a decline in the standard of living. This will actually lead to lower tax revenue over a period of time.

Demotivate the most successful and talented business owners. THe result will be akin to an atomic bomb delivered to the economy.....

How much would a company have to Gross to net 250,000/year? I guess that depends on overhead and expenses. Small business owners and middle class are what makes the US turn. I know allot of small business's that don't make $250,000/year, and are doing very well.

Exactly.

Add in mandatory healthcare and who would want to own a business?

Maybe we can all go to work for the Government if Nobama wins.

You can't possibly be serious. The majority of us that own our businesses are living the same type of lifestyle that our employees live. Be it in good markets or poor. If our employees don't do well, we don't do well. Your thought process is definitely off. Do you honestly believe a company that has their employees living paycheck to paycheck has an owner that is raking in the bucks? He/she is probably hurting almost as much as their employees. What you don't (and obviously can't) understand is how much we business owners spend to keep a company afloat just to make a profit, albeit small these days.

It looks to me like you are jealous of anyone that has the brass balls to try to make a company work and thrive. If you want that lifestyle, think of a business plan, implement it and step up to the plate. Otherwise, stay on the sidelines where you belong.

You sound like a typical socialist to me. All for one and one for all. You bitch and moan because someone makes more money than you, puts more effort forth than you and takes more risks than you but you in your infinite wisdom believe you should be compensated the same way that they are???

Get a freakin' clue.

Guess we would need to know if he's talking income or revenue. A healthy business nets 10%. Give or take. So $2.5M revenue & $250K net. We also need to know if he's talking sole P. or an actual employer with employees. If its $250K revenue, that isn't much at all.

My philosophy is quit or cope but don't make waves.
When you get all growns up, start your own business and run it however you want.

Absofugginlutely! The owner of the business is the one that takes all of the risks. It is their personal fortune on the line of the business struggles. They are the ones up at night wondering if the accounts receivable checks will come in, wondering if they will have enough for payroll, wondering how they will pay the workers comp insurance if one of their employees get injured on the job.

If you don't like working for someone, and you obviously have a problem with those that do own a business and succeed, then quit and start your own business. Otherwise take your paycheck and be glad they are employing you. There are plenty of people behind you that can easily take your check. No one is irreplaceable...

And before you ask, no I do not own my own business. But I respect those with the intestinal fortitude to own their own business, employ others, and thus drive the economic engine of this country...

Edit: damn my spelling was atrocious

Tamalewagon, are they really having bidding wars on REOs?

I am trying to verify if my current 1 year inventory mentality is correct or not. Maybe all the facts I have had are false?

That or Murrieta is an armpit? I have seen properties sitting empty for a year easy.
In some instances yes. My wife has several clients that are essencially going in at asking price simply because someone else will. Southern California is approximately 17% undervalued right now. Get the deals while you can. Once you realize we've hit the bottom of the housing market...it's too late.
