Anybody know of an event involving Nordic boats today at Lake Mead...

I was driving up the 93 by the lake and saw a HUGE Nordic cat being pulled by a white Semi....I am guessing that monster was a 42-50 footer it was huge with white base and tons of graphic's. Had a wide load sign across the back and it looked like it took up more than one lane...Did not have time to snap a shot...then a few seconds later I saw what looked like a 36-38 foot V Nordic being towed down towards the lake...within 3 miles there was at least 7-8 nordic's heading down there...anyway just curious.... and would love to see where they were going to launch that cat from...

The big cat is probably randy davis the owner of nordic boats. he has a huge house boat on lake mead and a big hanger type storage full of toys probably headed there.

B.H. is correct. Not sure where they launch but they hang at Hallett beach. They were all there Memorial day weekend. I am at Callville and never saw the trailers so maybe Temple. I am kinda buds with Randy's son Stevie. We'll be there tonight.

Wind is picking up, really humid...rained a while ago and more is coming.
Should clear up by late tonight..

It is lightly raining right now and should pick up for a short time but it looks like it will clear up by 2-330 today so I think you will be ok....after tonight the weekend looks good...

Thanks, keeping the fingers crossed although this year the weather has been awesome so not sure why I'm worrying.

Most of the Storm has just gone over us. Now mostly passing us on the east of the city and lake...you will be just fine now...unless something else brews which i do not see happening.
