Anyone running this piece? Thinking about upgrading to this, as my old nozzle housing has a lot of wear on the inside where the o-ring is supposed to seal to prevent water blow-by. Is it a noticeable difference in thrust/top end? Also, the description states, "it has 3.5 degrees of built-in lift" Would this be the same as adding a 3.5 degree nozzle wedge? Thanks!

I guess I'll be the one who asks what are you running ??? Boat .. Intake ? Hp ? All relevant
It's a pretty heavy 21' with a fairly fresh Berk 12JG that Tom did about 2 seasons ago. Motor is approx. 375-400hp BBC. Revvs to around 4800rpm with an aluminum A. Stock Place Diverter nozzle with hydraulic ram. Stock rock grate fyi...I don't trust loaders lol.

You boat may like that nozzle , certainly worth the experiment, the good news about bolt ons like the HP is that theres always a market for the resale if that have other than a positive effect Tom

An HPH is more than a "wedge" and nozzle adaptor, along with its 3.5 pin angle it is a Mini droop includes A "drop" of a 1/2 inch , good place to start on a big boat

Tom, do you need a steering extension with this part? It looks noticeably longer than my current nozzle housing.

Theres generally enough adjustment in your steer tube and rack to compensate for the small difference in length vs a standard housing
So you just adjust the jam nuts on the steering tube where it goes through the rear transom?

I have one sitting on my workbench for my boat. I need to finish mocking up the steering so I can do some back to back testing on it. B1/Chris suggested it, so I'm gonna eventually get around to it.

Post up here and let us know how that goes, always good when someone does a test like that.
Top notch product IMO. I have it on both my boats. Tim and the guys at PLACE are awesome!
Good to know, and yeah those guys are very helpful.
