My hyd PLace Diverter is getting stuck with the nozzle in the down position (when the shaft on the cylinder is in). It seems to work fine until the nozzle goes to where it begins pointing down. When I loosen the fittings connecting the lines to the cylider (lines bleed) it will then move up fine. Ideas? Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like a sticky solenoid...Is this setup new? The solenoids are available as a replacement part, but first check to make sure the electrical connections are all good. Buy them from Bennett though, not Place.

Just remember blue sky and green grass (up and down) :D

This is a common issue and could be simple (after verifying wiring , power and ground ) , try taking thumb and forefinger and carefully loosen all four solenoids (should only ever be finger tight then retighten to an "ever so light seat" (again finger tight) Then retry, also helps in diag to switch lines and retest for comparison , check pms for more info and my cell if I can help ) Tom

PS Place has a strong limited warranty and customer service policy on these units as well as the rest of thier products !

Thanks...No the unit is not new.. I dont know how old it is. I bought the boat 5 years ago and it was intalled prior. When I push the button I hear the pump its just not moving unless I loosen the fittings so I don't think its electrical but I will defintely double check tthe wiring and solenoids....Thanks!

OK...so I checked the wiring...good. Checked to make sure solenoids were finger tight...good. Switched the lines around and got exact opposite (Goes up not down). Assuming I have a bad solenoid??? Thanks for the help. Question is, how come it will work when I loosen the fittings? Pressure relief?

Why not buy them from Place ? Isn't it better to get it from the source ? I would think that going somewhere else you would have to a third party mark up. Just wondering .:D

The only reason I recommended Bennett is because they actually make the pump (probably a model 351) they can overnight the part and not too bad of pricing (I am sure Bennett sells more pumps than Place), no disrespect meant to Place, those guys are great.
