to the next politician that we put in the Oval Office.

The country's future depends on the correct person
getting into office and what will be left of middle income America.

I am sick of the idiocy that goes on in Washington D.C for more
than 13 years now. I'm neither a fan of Bush Jr. or Obama.

I'm not sure anybody worthy will be running on either side of
the voting polls, but I sure pray someone does.

Any good suggestions to give me hope??

With a global economy and the internet the rest of the world is going to gain on America, making life harder for low and middle Americans.

Remember, if you are on welfare you are still in the top 15% of "earners" in the world. Over time with other humans in the world having drive, it will level out as we engage in a global economy.

No doubt it will be a tough job getting the country on the right track

I like what I see in Dr Ben Carson, Neurosurgeon.

The doctor has pioneered some of the most difficult medical operations in the world.
With leadership and teamwork in the operating room

I see leadership in Dr Carson, he is a man that has dealt with life and death on a daily basis
and knows how to act in a timely matter.

Chris, as I see it our first course of action is weeks away where we take the democrats out of the majority, where they have been throughout Obama's tenure. Harry Reid currently has over 350 bills on his desk, most of which passed with partisan support and over fifty of them introduced by democrats that he refuses to bring to the Senate floor for a vote because he's in power. He has proven who the party of NO is and it's time to get congress doing it's job NOW, while America needs it, rather than whenever Obama says to.

Elizabeth Warren
Do you think we'll have as much death as China did from 1958 to 1962 (4 years) with Mao Zedong as their leader as we will for the first four years of an Elizabeth Warren Presidency? 45 million deaths was only 10 million deaths less than all of what WWII caused, it's a goal she could shoot for. (I think that was the first pun I ever made in my life)

I wonder...........

If 9/11 would have happened on Clinton's watch.

If 9/11 would have happened on Obama's watch.

IMO, people judge GW Bush too harshly. He was wrong and he was right. WTF would the other two pansies do???

I know that this section of the forum is the most confrontational and controversial.
My point was that both President George W. Bush and President Obama have led
us down a path that is NOT WORKING for most.

I am not really politically motivated other than I am an American. I would like to be
proud of our elected leaders and believe in what they say and mean. Leaders should lead.

As for people's suggestions; it takes many and all to get to the best plan for heading in
the proper direction. Many ideas and suggestions will appear silly, ignorant or not well thought out.

But I would like many suggestions. All ideas are required to get to a real means to an end.

obama's staff

One of the biggest problems obama has had is the people he surrounded himself with and their total ignorance of world affairs... Look at the disaster Hilary was as Sec of State, the looney tune we have now isn't much better, and these are the people/persons that are suppose to be representing US to other world leaders. Add to them the 60s radicals, the self professed communitists/socialists, the one world order economy zelots, and it's a wonder we aren't worse off than we are now... 'Ol senile Harry has blocked any advancement of any bill coming out of the house, even the ones with dimbulb support... Then we have the worthless racist Holder as AG, another extremely bad choice made by obama's handlers.... But exactly par with their agenda to divide and conquor...

The answer?? Any thing but what we have now.... Ben Carson has great possibilties, but I fear he is too smart to get cornered into the lose/lose position of POTUS. Look what the libtard media did to Palin, one of the best ever Govenors in our Country's history... And light years away from being stupid...
We need a new system, like the British, where a "no confidence" vote removes a ultra bad leader, or a leader that refuses to lead, immediately...

Ray

PS It might help if discussion board moderators weeded out the thread crappers/trolls that come to a boating site under orders from some leftwing/libtard just to disrupt HONEST discussions...

That's why I support Elizabeth Warren. She is the only one that I've seen that will put the American people's interests first, and the big money's interests second, which is how it should be.

Shue, I give you credit. Its only one sentence, but, at least it's an opinion with a fare amount of merit. I agree with you that money runs the system, but I'm not quite ready to concede that it makes no difference who's in the white house. Look at the turmoil our current POS has caused. Mixed in with all his rhetoric and happy talk, he's made no bones about his true intention of transforming America into HIS vision, regardless of what most of Americans want. Although it pains me to give him credit for anything, I must say, he's accomplished a lot more towards that transformation than previous socialist leaning presidents were able to accomplish. Probably only FDR has accomplished more, or done more damage depending on who's telling the story, than Obama.

That said look what a mess Obama's made of foreign politics. He's made the USA a laughing stock to countries who don't like us, and an unrecognizable and untrustable heartache and headache to our allies. Russia, China, the entire middle east and N.Africa are all out of control because there's no one to keep them in check. And let's not forget the little dog eater in N Korea. Like it or not, America is, or was, the worlds policeman and current event's show why the world needs a cop.
Obama is the poster boy for why it does make a difference who's sitting behind the desk.

I totally agree with you on being serious about electing our leaders. Too many people get too caught up in their one single interest, and make their decision based solely on that. What ever social issue is important to you can't be the sole determining factor for your vote. This is how we got in the mess we're in. Obama was a one size fits all empty suit that was in the right place at the right time. The party saw an opining to advance their agenda. They dumped Hillary like a hot rock and plugged in their new rock star who was nowhere near ready for prime time in the big league's.

I'm waiting to see who gets on the playing field after the midterms. Hopefully we have some serious players this time.

People tend to forget that 9/11 was a MAJOR ACT OF WAR killing more American souls than the attacks on Pearl Harbor and placed our nation and economy in a dramatic tail spin.

The majority of the Libbys are so sheltered from the acts of War they are totally unaware of the magnitude, repercussions and tolls such an act of War places on our Leaders & Country and these sheltered and spoiled individuals ridiculed "W" for a "less than speedy recovery" and for having the courage to hunt down and confront our enemies......And "duh" war is not a perfect science....mistakes can and will be made and YES, people will die! Nobody likes WAR, but in the current state of worldly affairs, it is an unavoidable option for survival......and may God help those fools who do not accept this!

I for one believe we were very fortunate to have the caliber of a man such as "W" sitting in the oval office at this time.......Matter of fact, "W" wasn't sitting in the Oval office that morning, he was reading to 2nd graders......That Worthless War Mongering Bastard!

Who's Next?
Damn I wish I knew. Dr. Ben is very impressive and on the top of my current list, but frankly I believe he would make a better adviser than POTUS...... As far as I am concerned, the next POTUS has yet to enter the political spotlight......

Part of the problem is reporting. Do you ever hear anyone speaking of the war we waged to free Kuwait under GW Bush? It was quick, concise and we left the Kuwaiti people freed from their oppressors. When is the last time anyone mentioned President Bush returning Kuwait to it's people freed?
Nobody tells you the good about a conservative - especially NBC, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, NPR or any other liberal news outlet.

Our problem, as a nation is that too many believe what they are told rather than doing their own research and learning truth. Truth is in short supply from today's news outlets and finding it is truly the pearl of great price.

I agree with you on "W" he was a president that showed American spine
Was he perfect no, do I think he tried to do his best for the country yes .
Did he act engaged as a commander in chief yes

When opinion was against him, he took his case in front of the American people and ordered a military surge and drove the enemy into a early grave.

The Democrats and the left wing radicals base that came to power under Obama
is fracturing the overall Democrat base

The Unions are losing big money in coal, offshore oil and Keystone .
The Jews have been screwed over big time !
The young and dumb college grads with no job and student loans.
Obamacare will hit home in the party ranks

EW will have a real up hill battle gaining support
