So here is where i am at. I bought a PerTronix Ignitor® Solid-State Ignition Systems ML-181. For the coil i bought a PerTronix 40511 Flame-Thrower 40,000 Volt 3.0 ohm Coil. The current coil i have is a Accel 8140c 12v (from what i saw online it has 1.4 ohms).

So here is my questions.

Will i be able to use the current wires on the 3.0 ohms?

What is better the 3.0 ohms or the 1.5 ohms and why is it better?

Sorry if they are dumb questions as i am still learning. I just dont want to create issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

Personally, I don't think questions like this are ever dumb questions.
If you don't know, you don't know and this is a good place to get answers.

I view it as, its better to ask a dumb question that you don't know the answer than do a dumb thing, like not ask and it be wrong.
Most of us didn't start out knowing everything, about everything.:bangmyhead:
