That's a little like asking: Is it easier to wrestle a hungry grizzly bear or a rabid wolverine...
Assuming both the police officer and firefighter are "good" at their job, neither is easy. Both have high risk of falling in the line of duty every day they work - besides military, not many professions can say that. Honestly, I'm a little shocked that anyone would use the word "easy" when describing either job. Sure, they are always the slackers (as in every profession) but they would be slackers no matter what they were doing.
