duane did you have your boat out there?I saw the red/silver/white conquest near padre bay on wed or thur haulin the mail going the opposite way of us we were headed back to lone rock this was later afternoon around 4-5

Yes, ended up taking my boat. We went to Antelope on Weds. afternoon to pick up a part for Duneflyer. Pulled into the marina just as a crazy storm blew in. We were probalby headed back to camp in Face Canyon around that time.

i thought that was your boat but i didnt think you were taking it then i saw it.It sounded good as you were approaching and you were on the gas.Some on you boat were hootin and hollering as you guys past us probably a few drinks at the bar.LOL

We were in dungeon bay during that storm it calmed and we bailed was a nice ride back though their were 2 of us 24 ftr and my 21ft boat just at the begining of padre bay not many boat on the water then

Nice spot in Face Canyon -- where is that? Towards the back or one of the sides? Is that sand or the sandstone rock where you beached the boats?

When we went in July - we tried to camp in Face Canyon at Dos Dunes...but the water seemed just a little to low to get to it.

Going back in September -can't wait :)

As you come into Face Canyon you'll see a big red sand dune on your right. Take the opening that leads you to the base of the dune. From the right of the lower houseboat all the way around to where the small runabout is, was all sand. We actually had a third buddy with his houseboat across the cove for a few days too.
