I am putting a sniper tunnel ram with fogger system and 2 gary Williams 800 carbs on my 10.5 comp. 565, getting 200 & 300 hp jets,the 200 now intill I freshen it and clearance rings for nos. I run 93 octane in it, should I run a higher octane through the fogger? I now have a reher-morrison victor intake and 1050 Williams domionator and and pull a A hi-helix stainless imp. 5500 rpm, does anyone think the tunnel ram will help my setup?

Well, your first question was pump or race fuel with nos.....I ran a dedicated fuel pump when I was on nos.....along with a digital timing retard system ......all on pump gas....200-400 big shot kit used....

A lot of guys run a dedicated fuel system for the fuel side of the n2o with a 1-2gal cell holding the race fuel of your choice. Run the boat on 93 and spray race fuel with the n2o.

Well, your first question was pump or race fuel with nos.....I ran a dedicated fuel pump when I was on nos.....along with a digital timing retard system ......all on pump gas....200-400 big shot kit used....
X2 on the dedicated system the last thing you want is to go lean. If you don't sooner or later you'll wish you had!!!

91 octane and a 200 shot would be ok if you are taking 15* out. No timing you are not going to make power that's why you take it out and bring it in slowly. Don't run over 200hp on pump gas you are asking for detonation problems. To fat is not good either. Fuel pressure is very important. Go with a 10 jet spread no2 more gas less. There is not a no2 page here but go to yellow bullet and read up there is a lot of info there on no2.

Has anyone ever tried runnin say a 300-400hp shot on pumpgas but use methanol for fuel enrichment thru the nitrous?

Here is my combo and it works very well!!

565 chevy
10.4:1 compression
merlin 355cc heads
Mike Miller solid roller
edelbrock victor tunnelram
edcelbrock annular fogger
2 1050 carbs

I run the engine on regular 92 pump gas and I have a seperate fuel system for the nitrous that has C16 in it, when I arm the nitrous switch that also turns on the fuel pump for the nitrous system. It really is the only way to do it right in my opinion, I have ran up to a 32 nitrous jet this way with zero problems, 6500rpm on the engine and 7200 on the nitrous with a detailed B/C from B1.

Nice combo!! I run the same E3 Fogger as you, Chris at B1 did the install for me.

I am very happy with the way she runs, most fun i have ever had with the boat!! We are going to get after the hardwear early spring.

Way too funny, he plumed mine as well, did he recommend it to you? How do u like it? Hit hard?, Nos system works like expected?

I do on my snowmobile if that counts. It runs cooler EGT with Methanol vs C-16 and is about 1/3 the cost. 8000 rpm off and 9400 on.

Boss Noss has a really cool system for powersports and they should expand it to other markets. It works on 300psi and the nitrous pressure fuel injection system eliminates the need for a fuel pump. Fuel is delivered via nitrous pressure. A 9v battery runs the deal. Someone call them and get it going on a boat! It's so much less to worry about!

I help pit crew on the Green with envy boat 317(Edelbrock sponcered) and got to know Mark Honswetz from Edelbrock and got hooked up with Chris at B1. Hope you get a chance to meet Mark sometime he is a great guy to do business with!! Chris did my full pump as well as a few others in my home town, I wanted to run the same nitrous set up as they did to keep things simple when asking tuning questions over the phone or if I had any problems.

Chris did a very nice install on my intake, nothing but impressed with him on anything he has done!! The system seems to work very well so far and yes it hits like a truck!! lol. I have a few tune ups I ran last season and will fine tune them this spring, when you get close to spraying it don't hesitate to hit me up.

I prefer methanol but it can be a pain in the ass! To make it easier

Nitrox racing, makes a 3 gal tank meth tank with pump, a three way valve
to purge the meth from the lines with gas when done.

Methanol and NOS work very well on 2 strokes
The cooling of methanol is something like 3 times greater.
Plus, it reduces the chance of detonation if the motor on pump gas

Hey Trevor,

For whatever reason this site will not allow me to send pm's anymore.....


I run a holley blue for my nitrous fuel pump with the regular holley regulator, I ran .028 nitrous jet for my 250 hit and pulled 11 degrees from 37. My fuel pressure was at 6 psi flowing through a .073 orifice, the tune up was just a little on the fuel fat side and could have put a degree or two of timing back in it from the plug reading. I consider it a very safe tune up that way and was not trying to squeese every last bit out of it and possibly hurt it.
