Inspections

Tried to take my boat out yesterday to Anderson in Morgan Hill, and was bounced for being from San Benito County. Didnt even look at the boat.

This would have been the maiden voyage for the boat, so I was pretty bumbed.

The inspectors said they failed 75% of the boats yesterday. We took my buddies ski boat out and we were (1) of (5) boats on the lake. (4) were fishing boats........perfect day to run a flatty. They actualy failed the guy in front of us for having moisture under the rubber that holds his tail lights in on his trailer........

Thats a pisser, what does your county of origin have to do with the whole deal, any explination? Who was doing these inspections? I was out with David Poffenbarger last week, testing his Canyon racer. Just read that the races in Red Bluff were cancelled due to rain, this is the worst Memo. day weekend I can remember. Just got all my alum back from the polisher, went straight to the anodizer, gettin ready to send Tracey at Sunset a big check. Got any boating vacation days planned? We're going to be in the Tahoe Keys for a week in mid July, and Pedro a few times.

Fill me in on whats new. Saw your Vette for sale on RJ, beautiful ride, didn't even know you had that car. What did you have for power? ET?

The guys at the lake said San Justo was contaminted, therfore all boats regeistered in San Benito county are banned. Its a freakin joke. I'm just going to re-regeister it in Santa Clara county. The inspectors were pretty tough on everybody.

As for the Vette. I ran a Blackstone 560 that made 1180. We ran 7.50's @ 178 on a real mild (bracket) set-up. I sold the motor to Jeff Gillete, he bolted on another carb (2) and is running 7.20 @ 190.

We have a couple Don Pedro weekends set up. I'll e-mail the dates next week. I still have not put the boat in the water. Runs good in the driveway.........

The issue I have now is the closest water is 3 hrs away, or try to survive the delta.

Thank god the Cottonwood scales are north of Our IHBA drag Race in Red Bluff and we missed out on all the fun
I did drive by there on Fri 23rd (left boat at RB)
they (DFG) were having a hey day pulling over anybody that had a canoe or kyack or rubber raft
the sign warning people with boats to stop at scales,didnt mention any of the craft listed above

Allways happy with my Blackstone 540, great numbers on your deal.

My Cole hasn't been wet for over 10 years, and was last registered in Wash. state, wonder what kind of BS they can make out of that. May not be finished till late this season anyway, and my Eagle has not been south of here since 04.

Delta can be real nice during the week if you ever get an opportunity to due a mid week. Just read in this mornings paper they got 10" of snow in the sierra's, and the race at Red Bluff were a rain out, some weekend.
