Has anyone here stayed at Hacienda Casino in Boulder City? I know is near the lake but is it ok to stay with family? :p How are the rooms, I'm planning to stay there for Labor Day weekend....
Older casino basic rooms decent place to stay. Small pool but seems to be empty all the time good for the kids, Nice 2 screen theatre, First run movies playing all the time for the kids and family, decent food, you can do buffet or order off a menu in the same restaurant, good steak house, just a few minute drive to Hoover Damn or the lake...Make sure to get a Lake View room... Not sure how the crowds are going to be for labor day but should be OK.

You taking a boat to the lake? or just staying at the casino?

I have stayed there and it served it's purpose. They have a movie theater, but other than that not much for the kids. It's not as nice as Green Valley Ranch, but clean, inexpensive and close to the marinas.

Stayed there several time. Not a bad experience in any of them. Not the Mirage with jacuzzi tub suite, but it serves it's purpose. Steak house is really good. I do believe there is an arcade for the kids as well.

My son and I did the Dam Tour this past thanksgiving and on the way home stopped for allegedly the best Shrimp Cocktail in or around LV. Well it wasn't. Other than that don't know a thing about the hotel.

thanks for all the tips, one more questions, how are the launch ramps near by and does it get busy on Labor Day weekend? :D
We stayed there for Memorial weekend one year and it wasn't very crowded at all, but that serveral years ago. I can't remember the name of the launch ramp that's right down the road but it's only a couple miles from the hotel, and it was nice. I'm sure the water level has changed since the last time I was there though.
