What would cause #3 main bearing to spin on a BBC? Motor had at the most 10hrs on it.
Did you run it hard before the oil was up to temp?

Nope. I'm very anal about engine temp. Seen too many d-shits launch and take right off with there foot to the wood. Most of them come back on a rope.

No clue. Motor cam with recently purchased boat. Stripping it down now to take to machine shop.
So for all you know the motor was purchased at Auto Zone, or out of a wrecking yard and cleaned up with some pretty paint and some shiney valve covers and maybe a tunnel ram on top.
So was that 10 hrs you put on it, or the seller said were on it?
Any chance the seller wasn't all that honest about what you were buying?
