OK, picked this little hulls up today and am looking for history/background. The yellow one has an SVX hull ID prefix.

Thanks. I have a post over there too, and getting lots of conflicting information. The SVX MIC I'm pretty sure belongs to Wilkes.

Campbell Carl Thanks for speaking up for me. The SVX is the Coast Guard Hull ID for SilverWing Boats. When Speed & Marine of Orange Ca. Owned SilverWing boat they built the tunnel boat you have. They were one of the top running boats in there day. Mitch sold 20 or so to Japan for racing.

Thank you Sir! Just out of curiosity, what class were they running in at that time? Probably run as a Fat C under the new mini boat rules.

I'm currently redoing the trailer for the SilverWing and plan to get it back on the water very soon. Say, 40hp Tohatsu?

Yes Sir Sport C class with a 40 TO HOT SUE engine.
