I have the pump out of the boat and all the bolts are out of the bowl. The bowl moved about 1/8" on it's own when the last bolt came out. It moves back and forth that 1/8" really easy but no further. If it is just brute force I can handle that. i just don't want to make it worse than it already is.

I have been talking with Tom over at JBP. I'm sure he will call back soon but I'd like to get this apart today.

Any suggestions?

chinese handcuffs

The tapered wear ring is coming off with the bowl instead of staying with the suction ,because the WR and impeller are tapered opposite directions the thing works like "chinese handcuffs" soak the area real well with wd40 and call me I'll explain how to release the Wear ring Tom

Thanks for all the help today Tom. The margarita's and Corona's brought that tear down to a screeching halt tonight. Just have to pull the impeller and make sure the front of the shaft is not hosed and I'll be ready with a parts list. I'll call you first thing Monday with the parts order.
