Hey all. Dad just bought us a new to us 1977 General Marine Ranger mdl SRV-19. It has the original Mercruiser 470 in it. So when we got it, the prop had been run hard in the rocks. I don't know the manufacturer of this prop. What I do know is it was a three blade 13 1/2" by 23 pitch. Went to the West Marine in north PDX and they advised us to get a Turning Point Hustler 14" by 19 pitch. All they had was the 4 blade and told me that it was the smallest listed for this boat. What they didn't tell us is that the trim tab anode isn't the correct one for any aftermarket props. Another thing I am finding is that there is absolutely no info out there for this older motor/outdrive combination. Everything I find is that they start at 1983 and go up. Can someone please enlighten me if this is a good prop for this motor? And if it is I guess I go looking for the Mercury part # 822777A1 that is now part #822777Q1

Thanks,
John

Yes Portland, Oregon. I'll get photos up as soon as I get done with the interior remodel. Almost done. It amazes me how some people are. Have something nice and they just let it rot away.

As for the prop, I just trimmed the trim tab. Just broke out the dremel and trimmed a .25 by .25 area out of it. Clears just fine now.
