I'm replacing the floor in my Southwind Formula 1. I have new floor glassed in with matt so far 18 in long 10 in wide, overlapping 6 in, first layer. I staggerd second layer joints, right now 2 layers down soooo i plan on woven next layer, but the original floor was was installed with one sheet of heavy woven sheet. the way i have done it the overlapped joints are either 3 or 4 layers.. seems to me that this is stronger than original. I was thinking about not even laying the woven down. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

seems a bit overkill. i did one layer of mat with a 4" overlap to the hull with 1/2" plywood covered in resin on all sides and epoxied to the floor. i knew i was going to be glassing seat bases to the floor so i wanted a little extra strength. i could prolly pick up the boat by my seat bases now. heh.
