Does anybody have any tips on how I can restore the shine to the Blue metalflake accents on my boat. I am very fond of the boat and want it to SHINE if it is possible. The interior is in nice shape and I think hull should follow along. Also I would like to try and find a Rogers badge in decent shape, mine is missing and I think it should be there.

I want to thank everyone for all of the tips that I have been given so far and I hope to share some pics of the boat in the water doing what it should be doing.

Wet sand with 1500, and polish. Lots of elbow grease, but you can usually get that shine back.

If you can run your hand over it and feel the flake you can't buff it out. If this is the situation you will sand the plastichrome off the little flakes and be left with white or black flakes in some spots. Some guys clear coat it. It only will last for a few years though if exposed to alot of sun.

Yes, That emblem is what I am talking about. Mine was removed long ago.

just went through rogers garage today with his family,roger was a close friend, If you did not know he passed away about 2 weeks ago. If the boat you have is with out an emblem I have one for you brand new out of his garage you seem like your a decent person its yours. pm me with your address I'll send it out In memory of roger.

I am sad that I will not get to meet him, but I want my boat to as restored as I am able to do. I want to have many fun trips with it and share as much fun as I able to do.
