Hey all.....

I know its been covered, I have some special thickness ribbon veneer I am going to lay down in the engine bay of my 63 rayson.........Thoughts on West Systems G Flex as the adhesive to attached to the existing floor?.......do I need to cloth around the perimeter?......and what to use as a top coat?.........also attached is a Sample Pic of same material on marine plywood I will be using on the deck.......

I used West Marine Epoxy resin thickened slightly with cabosil. I put the epoxy down first, then laid the veneer followed by parchment paper, then thin plywood and then weights. I used bags of sand, a couple old batterys and whatever else I could find to make it lay flat. After the epoxy dried, I put a couple layer's of glass cloth before sanding an spraying clear over it. I think it came out pretty nice for my first attempt. A before and after pic....
