Anyone ever stayed at the Riviera in Palm Springs. My son was thinking of taking his wife for the weekend for her birthday.

stay away from the Esmerelda, Palm Desert. Just got back from a three day golf tourney. Major construction, pool side food only, service sux.

I stayed their a couple years ago. It's good! The property is older but they have renovated the rooms and did a pretty good job. It isn't walking distance to the action but it's a short drive. The rates were good that's why we stayed there.

I agree, not top-tier but not a bad place to stay for the money and a long walk or short cab ride to downtown P.S. which makes it nice. Good, older-style pool as I recall.

If he is riding a motorcycle make sure to park away from the grass sprinklers. I used a sh*t-load of hotel towels cleaning the Harley last time we were there.:D

Do the Vicroy if you can. The spa is nice. The Riviera is pretty nice. The rooms are still old style with a face lift. The spa is VERY nice.. Pool is nice to.. :)
