Heading out to san diego (staying near hotel circle) in a few hours for the weekend and would like to take my wife to a nice restraunt that is on the water. Not looking for anything too fancy as I will also have my 4 yr old daughter, but looking for some good food with a good atmosphere. Any help would be great.

We ate at Busters down by Seaport Village when we were in San Diego on July 1 and we liked it. I highly recommend the USS Midway tour if you have not done it, although I have done it twice as they open more and more areas each year, fascinating and you feel like you are walking thru history.

There is a Hunter steakhouse that's right there. Haven't been to that particular one, but the one in Carlsbad is great. Also, you can catch the train at fashion valley mall and go anywhere you want either old town or downtown.

With the 4 yr old try Bali Hai on Shelter Island, or even Athonys on the Bay. The Bali Hai has a great view of the San Diego Bay during sun set.

If you try Peohes on Coronado take the boat over from San Diego harbor it's a nice ride there and back.

Sleeper CP :D

Trust me...go to the Top of the Fish Market or the Fish Market downstairs. Outstanding food and great wine list. You won't be disappointed. Another great option on the water is Island Prime/C-level.
TWAG, What is the name of the place that was once the Ruben E Lee across from Lindburgh Field ? Last Time I came back home it was still there just don't the name...

alot of the above places are a little nice to take a 4 year old to. i may suggest going into old town its about 5 min drive from hotel circle right off the 8 fwy if you like mexican food that is the place to be. good food, shopping for the ladies, and sights to see for the youngster. there are like 10 or more resturaunts to choose from all within the grounds and they all have good food and killer margeritas i might suggest case de reyes or guadalharas (sp)
