Front Seat Mounts

I made some seat mounts from 4"x4"x 12" aluminum that I cut down to 4"x3"x 12". I wanted to get some feed back wether the 4" leg is enough to hold down the seat,or should I extend them out with some plate for more surface area to mount to?
My seats fit all the way over to the side, so I am not able to utilize a mount on the outside of the stringer to.
Here is what the seats and the mount look like as of now.

Ah Ha! maybe that is the picture I saw and was Thinking it was Squircha.
That is what I was looking for. Is that 1/4" plate? Did You have to shim the angle to get it to pitch down and hold tight? Thank's....Hal

Hal, the item in that pic that you really need(although it's a bit too late to add) is the short stringer outboard of, and parallel to, the main stringer. Cut to the same height of the main stringers, it would provide all the support you need.

I'm a little bit on the fat side, so I used the 3/8 plate, it wasnt off by that much so I just shimed the seat with a rubber o-ring.
