A friend once told me that the minute you get outside of the city limits in an Alaskan town that you are officially considered part of the "food chain"! Kind of an eye opener but it does make sense.

Big 10-4 to that plan. I stayed at a B&B on the Kenai river in Soldotna. Best Salmaon river in the world.

Remember one thing, if the locals warn you about something believe them. Alaska is beautiful and deadly. From Grizzlies to a tidal movement on the Cook Inlet that rises 30+ feet in Homer quicker than you can climb to safety.
