Just noticed CA DMV got creative the OLD ? permanent trailer registration (thought it was 15 years ?) been a dealer so long I I don't recall haven't now has a Plate "service" fee of 10 bucks every 5 years ? this means there gonna send someone to "service" my trailer plates right ? :happy:

Been that way right from the start. I guess they have a different definition of "permanent" than Webster's does.

Ya it was 10 years, I just got a renewal notice for my trailer and it said 5 years, WTH, then again Cali is broke I guess

I just found out I owe the AH's in Sacramento > $600 for my PTI. I moved after getting what I was told was a PERMANENT registration so I never got the renewal notice. Now the penalty is more than the trailer is worth. Might have to just register it in Az.

A little off topic, but read Cali is allowing the 56' haulers to travel freely without permit. Result of SB 1174 approval, now Cali is like the other 49 states.
