I had my boat clipped to the buoy in front of the house on Clearlake and this morning the boat was no longer clipped to the buoy. Clip were in good shape, just was left attached to the buoy and taken off the bow hook. Fortuanately I had taken the prop off last night to change the vent plugs. So it was just left to float away. Found it washed up on the beach a few miles away.

Lucky you had the prop off, or maybe it was just kids fooling around. Anyway sounds like you made out OK, sorry to hear. It's not a very good feeling when you know that somebody's been in your stuff

In Soda Bay. Never had a problem before. It could have been people just causing mischief, there are resorts on both sides of us.

You are probobly by the Manor. Just east of Ferndales? I get some shuck was swimming, rafting by and was messing around. That is hard to believe that in Soda Bay that would happen. Also, that is a highly traffices bay for the sheriff, as they hang outside the state park and at Ferndales gas dock.

What is gas there anyways? 91 oct

I try not to fill up at Ferndale if I can, but had to about two weeks ago and I think gas was running about 5.60 a gallon. Yep we are two places down from edgewater. The only place there without a dock sticking out.

Do you know of a cheaper pump on the lake? I usually pull out and go to Two Jacks. But sometimes, I hae to get it on the lake.

I think they are all about the same on the lake. I usually pull it out and fill and try to prolong taking it to town to fill up by bringing ten gallons of gas in cans with me everytime I go out.

I have never bought gas on the lake. We usually get AVgas from Lampson Field and mix Chevron 91 with it. Went over to konocti vista casino resort with a friend before for gas.. and Pit Stop on the north end of the lake by Lakeport.

Clip

I've had our dinghy come off while secured with a clip a couple times before I started using clips with a safety. Haven't had a problem since. Just a thought...
