Ok first of all I have used the search tool and didn't find what I wanted. I am currently running the AC Delco r43t plugs in my 454 bbc. Single Holley 750. 049 oval port heads. Mallory dist converted with pertronix kit. Are these shotty plugs? Everything I've read says everyone using autolite or ngk or even the E3's. So my question is should I ditch the delcos and go with something else? Which ones would you guys recommend. I need the .460 reach plugs because I have the 049 oval port heads. Would any other plugs be a better choice for my application? Thanks.

Does the engine run well? Leave them alone.

Everyone has preferences on spark plugs, that doesn't mean you should switch if the AC Delco work for you.

Lol I know I've beaten this subject to death. And yes they work well. Just didn't know if they were the Chevy pinto of the spark plug world. Like you said....personal preference I guess.

They all spark. Every brand of plug ever made can claim to have won some race some where. All except the gimick plugs like E3 and Splitfires have been used or are used as OEM equipment. AC plugs were the first plugs ever threaded into those heads.
Preference is with the owner. The vast majority of people that like NGK do so because they are one of the easiest plugs to read, and they work. They all work!

Thats a fairly hot plug. The equivent NGK would be a BR6FS, part# 4323

Just use the Delco and argue with everyone on the beach they are better. If you do it well enough you'll have everyone convinced you are on to something.
