I'm in the process of cleaning up the bottom of my Hondo GT runner and I want to add some speed coating while I'm at it. I've seen other flats with the rudder and strut coated with speed coat but the LODBRS rule book says no coatings on the strut or rudder. This boat will be used mostly at the lake with some occasional KDBA races and Wheatland so I'd like to have some sort of protection on the strut and rudder.

Pretty sure it is legal, they just don't want them chromed. Chrome hides cracks. Speed coat can be removed with lacquer thinner.
